New Manager Assumes Duties:
The Alger-Delta CEA Board of Directors has named Tom Harrell as General Manager.
Harrell began on January 3, 2006 and has been employed in the electric utility industry for 30 years. Harrell, a Michigan native, worked for utilities in Canada and Oklahoma during his career. Harrell also worked for Williams Learning Network in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
In 1998, Harrell moved to Brooklyn Park, Minnesota where he was employed by the Minnesota Rural Electric Association (MREA). At MREA, Harrell was the Director of Loss Control Services and managed safety and training programs for Minnesota’s 44 electric cooperatives. While at the MREA, Harrell added many new safety initiatives and training programs for electric cooperatives. Harrell holds several professional credentials including Registered Journeyman Lineman, Certified Utility Safety Administrator, and Certified Loss Control Professional.
In addition to studying business, Harrell is a graduate of the NRECA’s Management Internship Program.
