Danger Tree Policy
1. Alger Delta shall require a signed "Tree Release" form prior to performing any work. Click here for release form or view and complete our electronic tree removal request form online.
2. Alger Delta shall make the determination if the tree(s) endanger Co-op facilities.
3. If the Co-op determines that there is no danger to the line the member shall be informed. If the member still wants the tree removed, the member can hire qualified personnel to do the work. (A list of area tree services is can be found by clicking here.) If Alger Delta facilities have to be temporarily removed to perform this work, there may be charges involved and the member will be notified in advance of those charges.
4. For those trees that Alger Delta determines are a danger to Co-op facilities the following procedures, at no charge to the member, will be followed:
Tree to be inspected for removal must be marked prior to inspection. A simple ribbon or similar visual notification will suffice.
Alger Delta or its contractors shall cut or trim trees in order to maintain safe clearances and shall perform such work in a workmanlike manner.
The Co-op will cut/trim only that portion of the tree(s) that could endanger Co-op facilities.
Member to have qualified personnel finish the work.
Trees shall be cut in manageable lengths and left on the side of the right-of-way.
All roads or driveways shall be cleared.
The Co-op may at its option choose to temporarily remove its facilities so member can have qualified personnel do the work.
Member shall be responsible for all timber and cleanup of brush.
